THIS IS NEW!

THE INSTALLER PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! The full MusicMaster installer now allows you to select where to install your MusicMaster database and denition les. You can choose the Windows shared documents folder, the Windows Current User Documents folder or the MusicMaster Application Path. If MusicMaster is already present on the machine, it will likely default to the Application Path since that is where datales were located in previous versions. First time installations will default to the shared documents folder. Whatever you choose will become the default option for future updates. If you decide to select a different location than what was used previously, you will need to manually relocate your existing database and denition les to the new location. We recommend installing these les to one of the Windows document folders to avoid data access permission errors.

WINDOWS 8 SUPPORT The full installer contains updated Hasp drivers that are compatible with Microsoft Windows 8. By default, the MusicMaster installation program will use a language that matches your copy of Windows, if that language is available. You can now also force it to use a specic language of your choice using the /LANG=xx command-line option. Valid settings are EN (English) DE (German) FR (French) ES (Spanish). Please note that these new installation options and security drivers are only available in the full program installer. If you already have 5.0 installed and use Check for Updates, you will only get the upgrade patch installer that doesn't contain any of this. SQL You can now specify just a SQL Server on the command-line to force the server selection list in the Datale Manager to select that server by default. The command line must start with this option in the format: sql://ServerName where ServerName can be the name or address of the desired server as dened in the Datale Manager. When using the command-line to select a SQL Server or SQL Database, you can still force a specic path for denition les using the new command-line option /DATAPATH=pathname.

PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT Made a performance improvement affecting the performance of scheduling tests when Format Clock Filters, Scheduling Session Filters, or Rule Group Filters were in use in the SQL version only. SPECIAL HISTORY REPORTS Added a new Hourly Summary Special History Report that shows the total count and time of song elements in each hour of the report period. HELP The Help, About screen now has buttons to open Windows Explorer to the special folders that MusicMaster is using for the program les, data les, and system option les. FORMAT CLOCKS If a Format Clock Element lter level is set to an invalid value, it will be automatically changed to 1 when the element is saved or loaded. ENTERPRISE It is now possible to map the Category eld when setting up Enterprise database eld mapping. LIBRARY SYNC Library synchronization denition les can now run without recording the time they were run. This is normally done to prevent a library synch export operation from exporting the same changes over and over. In the case where you have to export the same changes to more than one system, you can now prevent this change time from being recorded until the last export in the sequence. To make this adjustment, add SetLastSynchTime=0 to the [LibSynch] section of your denition le. NETWORK LICENSE MANAGER When using the Network License Manager, you can now specify a custom conguration le on the MusicMaster command-line: /NETHASP=lename NEXUS Nexus reply messages will now contain a messageId property which corresponds to the message entries in the Nexus log les.

The Song Card Editor within the Schedule Editor was not properly showing the name of the virtual audio lename eld if it was added to the grid layout. Adjusted the rounding when calculating the number of elements required to satisfy the Attribute Quota rules when congured by percentage. Scheduled air times were not always updated properly after using the auto song replacement function in the Schedule Editor. RealTime will no longer return to the anchor when you make a song replacement on an element not at the anchor position. Corrected an issue when closing down RealTime that could result in an error, or the program not unloading from memory properly. Lognotes indicating invalid elements that were created after importing a Format Clock had an invalid run length and could not be found by the clock element changer for this reason. When using Import from Network, the MediaGenix import mode will no longer remove Time Marker elements from the log. Corrected an issue that was preventing changes to the internal Edit Date eld on songs from being immediately visible in Library Maintenance. Corrected an issue that could cause an error message while deleting packeted songs in the SQL version only. Corrected an issue that could cause a date conversion error when saving song eld data in the SQL version only. Corrected a problem that was causing an error message when deleting lognotes in the SQL version only. Corrected a cursor movement issue in the eld map grid on the Enterprise setup screen.
