magazine mixmag. For these tasks I have had to make a biography for my artist Adam Who?, a profile of the main readership of mixmag and also the codes of conventions on how mixmag make all their magazines look very similar or the same.
clubs, that mixmag releases a guide for once a year. They are most likely going to live in the city and have a fast paced life so they want
Dateline
The dateline on this copy of mixmag is down the side of the front cover. They use this to show what month this magazine was created this is good because it specifically tells you if it up to date. This can help if they have made a limited edition and they make it in a certain month this can help find it.
Main image
The main image of my magazine is 2 people who are on a beach in Miami. The 2 people in this are P DIDDY and FELIX; they are on the front cover as they have been the big interview for this months magazine. They isnt a colour scheme on this front cover apart from summer and Miami. They are also on the front of this months edition because people who like their music are likely to buy this months
edition so they can see what they have to say. Model credit This is the person that took the photograph, this months front cover picture was taken by Zach cooper. This is the part that credits the photographer for their image. It is also there to say that if you havent got a CD with this copy then take it back to the newsagents and they can supply you with one.
Coverlines
They are like the contents of the magazine on the front of the magazine they help them decide if they want to buy the magazine. It fits in with the colour scheme which is bright summery colours. They normally have a quote from the interviewee on the front so it intrigues the reader into buying the magazine.
The main cover line on this months issue is P DIDDY & FELIX take Miami can house save hip hop? the image that goes with this is the two artists on what looks like a beach. They have a big stereo system in their hands.
Left third
The left side is the left of the magazine just below the main cover line and this is where most of the cover lines are but in this edition they take up both sides of the magazine. This is in the bottom ride hand side of this months edition, this is very important as it enables the reader to buy the magazine and also it tells them the price of the magazine. The selling line of this months edition as most of the other editions is The worlds biggest dance music and clubbing magazine. this is used to big up the magazine and make it seem like its the best around.

Task 4/5:Proposal My concept for my front cover is having my Adam Who? Stood in the center of the shot with folded arms. I want them in a hoody and jeans with a nice t-shirt on. I will blur out the background of the image so that Adam stands out more. The words I will use for my cover line are words like standing out coming out of the darkness I will have the back ground dark and she will stand out as she will be in colour. I will have the font in white as this will stand out more on a black or dark background. On my double page spread Im going to have a big picture of Adam Who? Taking up one side and it will be him looking up wards like towards the stars and this will be to show she is still aiming high with her music. My little image will be a picture of her favorite drink, as people might not know what it is or looks like. The length of my double page spread will be 500-700 words like a typical VIP copy in mixmag magazine. The nature of it will be lighthearted but still get the answers to some hard hitting questions that Adam Who?s fans want to hear about. The questions I will be asking will be to do with her childhood and the loss of her father at a young age and about her mother becoming a nun and leaving her on her aunts door. The audience of my magazine will be the target audience of the mixmag magazine, but also mainly aimed at Adam Who?s fans who will be taking special interest in this copy. The layout design of my copy is. I will have a image that takes up one side of my double page spread and have one small image to break up the text during the question and answer part on the other page. I will have his name the same colour as the bar on the top of the page so people know that is who I am interviewing. For the front cover I am going to have Adam Who standing in front of some trees but I will blur and black out the trees so that it looks like Adam Who is coming out of the abyss which is the title of their first album that our magazine is promoting. The style will be informative, lighthearted but also hard hitting so that I can get the answers that I want from my interview and the
answers the audience want to hear about. The tone of it will be quite informal as it can be quite jokey at one point but also can be quite hard-hitting and serious. The final deadline for all this work will be the 30th of October.
