THE CHERISHED MEMORIES AT RAMLILA GROUND, NEW DELHI 1.

Prelude The 125th birth celebration of Sree Sree Thakur Ankulchandra & Northern India Regional Satsang Conference was celebrated at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi on 24.02.2013 with great enthusiasm and fervour by thousands of devotees, who were congregated at the Ramlila Maidan from all corners of the country to observe the 125th birth anniversary of Sree Sree Thakur Ankulchandra. Prior to the date of this conference, there was continuous shower & thunderstorm in and around Delhi. Thus there was ample apprehension of conducting the conference successfully in such a hostile condition. But, when the conference is being organised for the "PURUSOTTAM", how nature's fury shall come in the way and finally it was a sunny day with the weather remaining pleasant throughout the day. 2. Morning Prayer The day began with thousands of devotees assembled in the wee hour of the dawn at the 'Parthana Mandap' for the Morning Prayer, paying scant regard to the windy Delhi cold morning. The 'Parthana Mandap' was gorgeously decorated with all kinds of beautiful flowers, where the 'vigrahas' of 'Sree Sree Thakur Ankul Chandra', 'Pujoniya Badama' and 'Param Pujypada Badada' were placed. The Morning Prayer started with the blowing of conch and "Hulhuli" in the august presence of revered ' Sree Pujyapada Dada', revered 'Sree Babai Da', revered 'Sree Sipoy Da' and 'Sree Binki Da'. The feeling at the 'Prathana Mandap' in the morning was an absolutely heavenly experience. 3. Darshan Subsequent to the prayer, the Pranmi was offered and very soon there was a long queue, where a large numbers of devotees were ready to have a 'darshan' of revered 'Sree Sree Pujyapada Dada'. The 'darshan' continued for more than an hour, where the devotees offered their obeisance to revered 'Sree Sree Pujyapada Dada', who equally took keen interest in each of the offering made by the devotees and was kind enough to give HIS valuable guidance wherever required. 4. Sangitanjali Consequent to the culmination of 'Darshan', at 9.30 A.M the programme of 'Sangitanjali' commenced. Various reputed singers sang devotional songs and filled the atmosphere charged. This beautiful programme continued till 11.00 AM and thereafter the Northern India Regional Satsang Conference was formally inaugurated by revered 'Sree Sree Pujyapada Dada'.

5. Discussion - I The first discussion in the morning was on the topic of the "Divine life of Sree Thakur Ankul Chandra and his message'. Many eminent speakers from across the country e.g. noted academician, bureaucrats, professionals & scientists presented their views on elaborating the divine life of of Sree Thakur Ankul Chandra and the message he had given with their relevance in today's context. 6. Other activities By this time, the crowd was at its peak around. Although it was difficult to arrive at any figure but looking at the sea of devotees, it was felt the total number devotees must have been beyond 15,000. Simultaneously at other places of Ramlila Ground, various other activities were carried out e.g. the 'yagna' (worship, prayer) was being performed with ancient rituals and by reciting the invocations from the 'vedas'. There were also many shops that were fabulously displaying the photos, books, medicine of Sree Sree Sree Thakur Ankulchandra for sell. A lot many people were busy in purchasing these treasured items. 7. Initiation The foremost object of celebration of Northern India Regional Satsang Conference was to bring awareness of the ideologies and philosophy of Sree Sree Thakur Ankulchandra by way of giving 'Dhiksha' i.e. initiation. A number of initiation rooms were set up and through proper 'Jajan', hundreds of people were given the holy initiation. By 12 o' clock the 'Anand Bazar' was opened to the devotees and without any glitch, thousands of devotees waited patiently, for their turn for taking the 'Prasad'. 8. Discussion - II At 2.30 p.m, the 'Matrusamlini' was held and topic for the occasion was 'Woman and Education'. The subject was apt and just looking at the present context and various woman speakers spoke at length by depicting the numerous the principles given by Sree Sree Thakur Ankulchandra. 9. Discussion - III At 4.30 p.m, the last and final discourse was on the subject of the ideology of Sree Sree Thakur Ankulchandra on education. The key speakers underscored the basic the ideologies of Sree Sree Thakur Ankulchandra on education in today's context and emphasised its relevance.

10. Evening Prayer In the evening, like in the morning the evening prayer was also held the in the august presence of revered 'Sree Pujyapada Dada' revered 'Sree Babai Da', revered Sree 'Binki Da' and revered 'Sree Sipoy Da' followed by Darshan of 'Sree Pujyapada Dada'. 11. Cultural Programme The last event of the programme was traditional and cultural dance programme performed by eminent national / international artists, who by their sheer performance mesmerised the audience present there. Like everything that comes to an end, this beautiful day came to an end at 8:30 p.m and the audience thereafter, took 'Anandbazar' and bid farewell to the the place. 12. Conclusion It was truly a wonderful experience for all the devotees at the 'Ramlila Ground'. The day has given precious memories to all who were present on this occasion and who shall cherish every moment they have spent in the Ramlila Ground for the rest of their life. It was truly a historic day for the Satsang fraternity for Northern India because of the immaculate and meticulous planning that has gone through in arranging such a mega event. This event was equally important for the Satsang family because number of devotees it had attracted. Last but not the least such a mega event could be made only possible by the Organising Committee with blessing of 'Sree Sree Pujyapada Dada' and under the constant supervision offered by revered 'Sree Babai Da'.
