WELCOME PROCESSION, HYMN 714 CALL TO WORSHIP

Leah Grundset Davis

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. And also with you. Bless the Lord. Let all that is within us bless God's holy name. We will bless the Lord and remember God's acts of goodness. The Lord does not deal with us according to our sins. God forgives all our iniquities and heals our diseases. The Lord keeps us from the grave and crowns us with love and mercy. The Lord satisfies us with good as long as we live. As a father has compassion for his children, so the Lord has compassion for those who honor him. As the heavens are high above the earth, so great is God's love toward those who have reverence for him. Let us worship God! From Psalm 103 INVOCATION PASSING THE PEACE OF CHRIST Leah Grundset Davis Edgar Palacios

La paz del Seor sea contigo. Y contigo tambin. The peace of the Lord be with you. And also with you. CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE Make us one, Lord, make us one; Holy Spirit, make us one. Number Your Days: One More Year Amy Butler God Everlasting, at Your Word

BROTHER JAMES AIR God everlasting, at your word the hills in splendor rise; they overshadow human life whose glory swiftly dies. Pour out the fullness of your grace and we like them arise. Our days like dreams come to an end, our story soon is told, when strength is spent, and beauty fades, and bodies have grown old. Pour out the fullness of your grace and we your face behold.

3.

Teach us, O Lord, to count our days, to cherish every hour, to seek your will, to do your work, and trust your mighty power. Pour out the fullness of your grace and rain on us like showers.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND LORDS PRAYER

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

INVITATION TO DISCIPLESHIP HYMN

Susan Sevier According to Thy Gracious Word

HOW CAN I KEEP FROM SINGING

According to thy gracious word, in meek humility, this will I do, my dying Lord, I will remember thee. Thy body, broken for my sake, my bread from heaven shall be; thy testamental cup I take, and thus remember thee. When to the cross I turn my eyes, and rest on Calvary, O Lamb of God, my sacrifice, I must remember thee. I shall remember all thy pain, and all thy love to me; when thou shalt come again and reign, Jesus, remember me. During the singing, we invite you to come forward if you wish to make a public commitment to Christ or to join our family of faith. If you are interested in membership or have questions about Calvary, please contact Pastor Leah.

WELCOMING NEW MEMBERS We give thanks that you have been guided by the hand of God to this community of faith. We pledge to love each other and to work to grow into the fullness of Christ together. Amen. BENEDICTION DEPARTING TO GIVE AND TO SERVE
During the season of Lent, we hear no Postlude at the conclusion of worship; rather, we exit silently in a spirit of contemplation. Ushers are stationed at the rear doors to receive our Tithes and Offerings. We thank you for your gifts and we dedicate them to the service of God, both in this place and around the world. Following worship please join us in Woodward Hall, left as you exit the Sanctuary, for refreshments and fellowship. Check out opportunities for service during the week. Visitors, we look forward to greeting you. Scripture passages for March 10, Fourth Sunday in Lent, are Joshua 5: 9 - 12; Psalm 32; 2 Corinthians 5: 16 - 21; Luke 15: 1 - 3, 11b - 32. We grieve with them in the loss of baby Sam and pray for grace and courage for them all as Lucy continues to improve. Keep up with their progress at the following website: www.caringbridge.org/visit/lucyandsamuel. If you would like to send Liz and Zach a note, please contact the Church Office. WORSHIP NUMBER YOUR DAYS. Today we continue our Lenten series, reexamining the ways we practice piety. Perhaps the word pious has a negative connotation because so many have practiced their piety in ways Jesus warned against: stewardship for show, prayer for public praise, fasting for face value. What if we tried to live out a lifetime storing up real treasures? Psalm 90 is our guide, and in each Gospel passage this Lent, time is reiterated in a word or phrase. How do we number our days so that we may gain hearts of wisdom? TODAY LATINO FELLOWSHIP SUNDAY SCHOOL.
