* Saving files is very important please organize your work in the following manner: Save all image-based work in three ways (individual maps, diagrams, montages, photos and exhibit boards, etc) 1. 2. MAPPINGS, DIAGRAMS, EXHIBIT BOARDS - Working Adobe Illustrator files with all work linked and embedded. ALL WORKING FILES SHOULD BE AI FILES! (No jegs, tiffs, psd, dwg, or pdf files) MAPPINGS, DIAGRAMS, EXHIBIT BOARDS final files - save both a high resolution pdf (embed all work) and low resolution jpeg of each image and board (do not shrink paper space when downsizing files) PHOTOGRAPHY WORK AND MONTAGES save both high resolution psd file OR ai file (300dpi) and low resolution flattened jpegs(150dpi)

* Naming each file in the following manner: your first initial last name_project description.ai * Filing system, you are required to use the following guidelines for filing work. create a folder tilted after the course and your name, inside this folder create a folder for each project and save all files for each project in the proper folder. USB: name it your first initial last name, for example : cmarshall Folder PROJECT 1 : Mapping project one (GROUP CASE STUDY) Folder Images (working and final files) Folder Presentation PRESZI presentation Folder Bibliography (pdf) Folder PROJECT TWO : Research and Visual images folder Contextual maps (working and final files) Folder - Features maps (working and final files) Folder - Patterns maps (working and final files) Folder - Site plan (working and final files) Folder - Site Documentation (working and final files) Folder - Images (working and final files) Folder PRESENTATION Folder - Research Paper (pdf) Folder- Presentation PRESZI presentation Folder - Exhibition boards (working and final files) *******All students must hand in a digital collection of the semesters work failure to hand in a digital portfolio will result in a reduction of your final grade by two letter grades ****
