The Envent Flanged Dilution Probe eliminates problems associated with sampling high H2S concentrations in wet, dirty gas at low pressure. The Problem Sampling from low pressure process lines can pose problems when conventional sampling techniques are used. Sample pumps require frequent maintenance, coalescing filters may remove H2S as well as contaminants and required maintenance can create unsafe working conditions when high H2S concentrations are analyzed. Process upsets can contaminate the analyzer requiring maintenance and contributing to analyzer downtime. The Solution The Envent Flanged dilutor allows percent level H2S to be safely measured at low or no pressure. The probe completely isolates the analyzer from process contaminants. No regular maintenance is required. The process H2S permeates across a membrane at a controlled rate. The permeable membrane material is selected to be resistant to process contaminants found in natural gas and produced gas. The H2S is picked up by the carrier gas and only the clean dry carrier is transported to the analyzer.
