News and Prayer Letter March 2013

Busy, busy, busy! Thats the word to describe this spring for us. Of course, this is a good busy. We have had a great start to our meetings for 2013. Our family has been encouraged by the receptiveness and interest of the churches we have been in. God has really challenged us to stretch our faith during the process of gathering support. Some of the greatest encouragement we hear is when people simply say, I am praying for your ministry. We need more people to pray for us. As we look at everything that is before us, we can sometimes feel overwhelmed even in the midst of being excited. It is for this reason that we covet a Prayer Team. We know many of you already pray for us regularly, and we are so thankful for you. However, we want to ask you to consider being a part of a team of prayer warriors that will bring us before the Throne of Grace daily. Would you be willing to be one of 50 team members that would commit to pray for us EVERY day? We understand the commitment we are asking of you, but we also know that we can accomplish nothing unless we have faithful people of God praying for us. If you would like to sign up, visit the front page on our website or click here. Housing update Our house has been officially up for sale for 3 weeks now. We have had 12 people come through to look at it, which Ive been told is quite a bit. We are happy for that, but at the same time it puts a lot of added pressure on Val, who is usually the one to get the house ready for each showing. Our prayer has been that God would bring along the right buyer in His time, and we would know His will. On the other end, we have looked at a number of houses, but have not found one that is what we would need (well, at least within our price range, which is cheap :). We ask for your prayers that we would have patience and wisdom through this process. Support We are at 5% support currently. This has all been from one time gifts from individuals and churches. We know that God will provide the remaining funds. We have been able to add a few more meetings for this coming fall, but that still leaves us about 1 dozen short of our goal of 30 meetings this year. Church Planting Training Last year, it was strongly encouraged that we attend some type of church planter training. While we saw the value, it was just not possible to attend. However, this June, Baptist Mid-Missions is holding its annual School of Church Planting in Toledo, OH. We plan to attend and believe that this will be a great help to us and a valuable resource as we begin our ministry. Thank you for your prayer and support, The Rews
