Medical Doctor Judith Peacock explains, in her excerpt on Depression that depression is a disorder that also affects teens in similar ways as adults. Any symptom you get from a depressed adult is the same you will see in a depressed teen. But, except for being sad some teens may show their depression by acting out or getting hostile and angry. Peacock says that it affects moods as well as feelings. Some people may mistake the blues as depression. While they both resemble sadness blues is feeling down from time to time while depression is a continuous sadness. It can also affect a persons thoughts and behavior.
