LSS Food Pantry The next volunteer date is Monday, March 25th, 10:00a.m. 2:30 p.m. Please volunteer for this very important service. The new sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the lower lobby. The LSS Food Pantry is located 1460 Champion Ave. Free parking is across the street on the lot. Contact Mary Roberts 588-2031 with any questions. Faith Mission Trinity volunteers help serve dinner to the men at Faith Mission on the fourth Thursday of each month. Arrival time is 6:30 p.m. and the time commitment is about two hours. Faith Mission is located at 151 N. 6th Street. The community kitchen has relocated two blocks away to 245 N. Grant Ave. Parking is available in the parking lot south of the building. Go to side door near chairs and tables. Four volunteers are needed each month; sign-up cards are available on the bulletin board in the lower lobby to serve at Faith Mission in 2013. The next day to serve is March 28h. LENTEN MIDWEEK WORSHIP Throughout the season of Lent we will gather for midweek prayer on Wednesdays at 12:05 p.m. at 6:30 p.m. Our meditations will again focus on the Way of the Cross. In following the footsteps of Christ from his condemnation through to his burial, we are moved to take up our own cross. Christ reveals the way of the cross as the way to true life and to resurrection. A simple meal will be served immediately following the midday service and again from 5:45-6:15, just before the evening service; the mid-day meal will be provided by the Congregational Life Committee. During Lent the Adult Forum Class is looking at our baptismal vows - when you were baptized, when you had your children baptized or when you stood as a baptismal sponsor, what promises did you make? How do you live them?
