On 1st March 2013 valediction took place in which apart from trainees and instructors DPM & APM

from Indira Kranti Padam, Krishi Vignan Kendra Program Coordinator, Aranyika (local organization) representative, BCT Central Coordinator and Community Organizer have took part. Speaking on the occasion Smt. Malleswari, faculty head suggested trainees to share their learnings and how they wish to take forward. Ramanamma, one of the trainees expressed that we have learnt preparing various recipes and expressed their interest to prepare pickles such as tomato, ginger in commercial way and in group. They learnt preparation of items with locally grown pulses koralu, samalu. Lakshmi Bhavani told that they learnt tomato, ginger, amla, tamarind pickles; powders with leafy vegetables and groundnut & coconut balls, with packing of products. They wish to prepare the same and wishes to promote through DWCRA groups. Vijayalakshmi told that she learnt preparing value addition items such powders with multi leaf vegetables, grains and preparation of cerelac. Sudha expressed the process of making soya beans and how to add to value addition to balanced diet particularly to children, pregnant and lactating women. Gunavathi told that besides pickles their group wanted to prepare halwas with ash guard, carrot. Sanyasamma expressed that she learnt preparing tomato, bitter guard pickles, ground nut, coconut balls with jiggery; sweets with carrot and bottle guard and got perfection by practicing at home. Manikumari told that we have very well learnt various components of training and are practicing in our houses and family members are relishing the recipes. Majority of the trainees wish to venture in to entrepreneurship as a group. Faulty head Mrs. Malleswari very much appraised the interest and motivation levels of the participants and in detail given report on what has been done during the training course. Krishi Vignan Kendram Program Coordinator Dr. Umamaheswara Rao expressed to start making business with the crops that are grown in the area and could earn good margins and by consumption we can lead healthy life style. He also stressed the need of adding value to the products. He explained how the coffee grown in the area got good reputation and likewise the various other live examples of Gujarat papads. He explained about importance of adhering to the quality, branding and marketing. Speaking on the occasion IKP DPM Sri Tirupataiah expressed the need of working through network of DWACRA groups which is being promoted by IKP. He facilitated in deriving the command items of the area and how to market them through Mandal Samakya (internet developed by IKP) and thereby reach to the entire state of Andhra Pradesh. Some of the items listed are turmeric, ginger, black pepper, brooms and tamarind. Each of the item or two items can be selected by a group and start operating business through giving brand name etc. He very much appraised the BCT-nimsme initiatives of up gradation of skills among the youth. He assured to extend guidance & cooperation of IKP in establishing as entrepreneurs and in getting finance for their operations.
