Titian was born around the year of 1477, nobody seems sure what year he was born even Titian himself did not know. The only thing they are sure is that he died when he was really old. Pieve Di Cadore is the city in Italy that he was born in, and he was also known as Tiziano Vecellio in Italian. His father sent him and his brother name Francesco, when he was the age of ten, to start learning how to paint in the workshop of Sebastiano Zuecato. While his brother stayed there to study, he left Bellini and joined Giorgione as his assistant, some people found Titians painting more interesting and they are more impressed at his work. He became an official painter to the publin in 1516, but in 1530s he became very popular when Emperor Charles paid him to do a series of portrait. In 1507 to 1508, Titian and Morto da Feltre help Giorgione create frescoes on the re-erected Fondaco dei Tedeschi. Giorgiones and Titians painting were so similar, that the only way to tell the difference between their paintings is to see the signature or the labeled in the painting. He builds his own business and hired two assistant. When Giorgione died in 1510, Titian move on to more complex painting and attempted a monumental style for the first time. After completing the high altar in the church of Maria Gloriosa Dei Frari in Venice, his famous artwork is still in situ. He became very popular after creating the high altar in the church of Maria Gloriosa Dei Frari and brought him to Renaissance. Titian and Cecilia had a son named Pomponio before they got married. They decided to get married in 1525 to legalize the birth of his son Pomponio. They had two more children name Orazio and Lavinia; however Cecilia died while giving birth to her daughter Lavinia. Titians two sons became his assistant, while his daughter got married and also died while giving birth. Titian was approximately 80 years old when he died from plague in August 27, 1576 and his Pomponio and Orazio also died because of plague. Most of Titians art works are gone because the thieves broke into his mansion where he used to live and stole all his belongings. Titans body is laid to rest at the Church of Maria Gloriosa Dei Frari.

Like many other artist, experience many other problems practicing their skills to be a better painter, Titian went through many pictorial problems through his life time. In Venice, he met Giorgione, an artist who influenced Titian on his painting and he later became his assistant. Throughout his life being an artist his interest in color never faded, although his style of painting changes. His work was mostly done on canvass, adjusting, as he performed with total domination over his paintings. His famous painting is the image of a bridge alongside the invisible nude Venus. The painting represents how wonderful it is to get married and that painting also influences him from Giorgione. He painted the Assumption of the Virgin in 1518 and Pesaro Madonna in 1519-1528 on the same church in Venice. His painting Pesaro Madonna seemed unusual because the Holy Virgin is out of the center in the painting; however this was disregarded at the time. When Giorgione and Giovanni Bellini died, Titian became the famous painter in Venice. He then starts working with different kinds of painting such as; the mythology work and altarpieces. Part of his mythology work, he painted his Bacchus and Ariadne for Alfonso Deste the Duke of Ferrara in 1523. In 1546, he visited the city of Rome, and he was tremendously successful that they give him the freedom in the city. His twenty five years of existence he mostly spent his time painting a portrait, he painted a portrait of Phillip in 1550 and he also painted a portrait of Phillips father, the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V. The artist was extremely good at painting that one of his scholars, watching him paint told him that he finished his work more with his fingers than his brush. (Finnan, 2012).
