Congregational Prayer
For Sunday, March 10, 2013
Give thanks to God for: Our Presbyterian Women (PW), for their faithful and loving service to God, His Church, and His Creation through their mission engagement and support, their many ministries of care, their dedicated study of scripture, and their witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ Please pray for: Mary Chenoweth; Hannah Siboles mother, Melanie; Ben Gordon; Pat Tyler; Bev Proffitt; Nela Bostian; Betty Clough; Bob Brooks; Elizabeth Gee; Willie Alford; Ann Pais nephew Paul, with ALS; Juliette Harriman White; Susan Farrells grandmother Mary Lou (Uh Oh) and father, Jim; Carlos Juara, facing vocational challenges; Rosie and George Turner; Steve Cobb and his family Our Deacons, as they lead the congregation in ministries of Compassion, Hospitality and Service Our Adult Christian Education & Discipleship Ministry (Jack Corley, Cheryl Jacobs, Matt Johnson, Jane Londrey, Christof Meyer [chair], Nelson Reveley, Dawson Watkins), for diligence and faithfulness in following the Holy Spirits guidance to deepen our walk and strengthen our witness; and our Meals Ministry (Mary Gray [chair] and Betty Appich), as they support brothers and sisters in times of need and bereavement Stuart Chapman, William Bridenstine, David Russell, Chris Pais, Mike Child, and Jessica, serving in our nations Armed Forces Our Community Garden, that it may grow in size, in influence, and in fruit-bearing this season; and for the Zobule family in the Solomon Islands, that God may continue to prosper their Bible ministry there, and that, God willing, He would shepherd the processes and events necessary for Alphaeus to visit the US this summer We pray for health care in Metropolitan Richmond: For persons helping to develop new treatment options, and for persons who provide the finances to support HIV/AIDS research, education, and prevention efforts.
