Job Description
The job of a tour guide is dependent on an ability to interface with the public and provide accurate information concerning specialized interests. This position contains aspects of customer service, information dissemination, and continuing education in the venue or medium in which the tour guide is employed. Museums, theme parks and nature attractions are just a few of the venues that require a tour guide.

Working Conditions
May work a 40-hour week, or do shift work, including evenings and weekends, work part time, or work only during the peak season May work outside in all weather conditions, or inside a museum or other attraction May travel for their job, locally or nationally.
