Bill Description House File 1304 allows a pupil transport entity to operate a school bus for transportation that is not pupil transportation for special events, without the reregistration of the bus, issuance of new plates, or payment of additional taxes. Signs labeled Special Event Bus must be visible in the front and rear of the bus, and a temporary vehicle identification card that is valid for 10 days and costing $5 must be obtained. Assumptions This legislation may result in the issuance of additional $5 temporary vehicle identification cards, but not in any significant numbers.
