lIntro to Wellness: Lesson 7, Attitude is the Father of Behavior (Locus of

Control)Type of Work: Indy or Partner Product: Snipped Notes Class Time: 1 Period EOC: Submit to ePortfolio (Wellness Lesson
6) Due: Next PeriodConcept: Do you control your destiny or are you controlled by it? There is no
doubt that life provides a different set of variables in each of our lifes equation and each of
the determinants of health discussed yesterday influence us in different ways. However the
extent to which you believe YOU dictate or influence your life has a huge impact on your
motivation, expectations, self-esteem, risk-taking behavior and most would argue the outcomes
of your actions. As you will find we believe that attitude is the father of behavior
pointing out that much of how you feel will impact what you do.
