INTRODUCTION
ThisoperatingmanualcontainsinstructionsforoperatingEtubeProject. InordertofullyutilizethefunctionsofEtubeProject,pleasereadthismanualthoroughlybeforeuse.
n NOTE: l WhenconnectingtheSMPCE1tothePC,connectitdirectlytotheUSBportofthePC,withoutusing anintermediatedevicesuchasaUSBhub. l MakesurethatthePCdoesnotswitchintostandbywhileyouarecarryingoutoperationssuchas updatingthefirmware. IfthePCswitchestostandby,ETubeProjectprocessingwillbeinterruptedandthescreendisplaywill returntothemainwindow. l Whenoverwritingtheinitialfirmware,connecttheunitstotheSMPCE1asstandaloneunits. l Afterunitrecognitionhasoccurredwhilethebatteryisconnectedandthescreendisplayhasreturned tothemainwindow,momentarilydisconnectthebatteryandthenreconnectit. l Rotatethecrankarmswhilecarryingoutoperationswhicharerelatedtoadjustmentandgearshifting. l UsetheTLEW02specialtooltoinstallandremovetheelectricwires.

WhenyoulaunchEtubeProjectforthefirsttimeafterithasbeeninstalled,youwillbepromptedtoentera userIDandapassword. EntertheuserIDandthepasswordwhicharegivenintheServiceInstructionsfortheSMPCE1.
Launching requirements
InordertouseEtubeProject,theSMPCE1mustbeconnectedtothePC. WhentheSMPCE1connectionrequestdialogboxisdisplayed,connecttheSMPCE1tothePCusing theUSBcable.
EtubeProjectcannotbeclosedwhilefirmwareupdatingisstillinprogress.

Followtheinstructionsappearinginthewindowtodownloadthelatestfirmware. * ConnecttotheInternetwhendownloadingthefirmware. IfyouareusingaPCwithoutanactiveInternetconnection,awarningmessagewillbedisplayed andthefirmwaredownloadwillend. * Ifthereisnofirmwareavailablefordownloading,amessagetellingyouthiswillbedisplayed.
