RELEVANT EXPERIENCE Sept. 2010-Present Student Success Center, Rider University, Lawrenceville, New Jersey Supplemental Instructor/ Mentor/ Lead Peer Tutor Assisted first year students with an Introductory Psychology course. Responsibilities included: regularly attending the course to observe the classroom lectures, holding two or more weekly review sessions, and developing relationships with the students. Developed skills in communication, effective time management, and leadership. Mentor and Lead Peer Tutor position included advising and supervising new Supplemental Instructors and tutors, respectively, during their first year of employment.

Fall 2012

Community Middle School, Plainsboro, New Jersey Senior Professional Experience - Sixth Grade

Designed and taught weekly whole class lessons in a suburban classroom of approximately 25 students per period. Weekly instruction included Do Now activities. Two whole period lessons were also taught. Classroom management techniques were effectively applied and professional collaboration and team teaching were experienced.

Spring 2012

Constable Elementary School, South Brunswick, New Jersey Junior Professional Experience - Third Grade Taught and prepared several whole class literacy lessons in a suburban classroom of approximately 27 students. Lesson topics included identifying cause and effect and effectively using dialogue in narrative writing. Experienced co-teaching, professional collaboration, and student literacy conferences.

Fall 2011

Maurice Hawk Elementary School, West Windsor, New Jersey Junior Professional Experience - Second Grade Planned and implemented several types of lessons including whole class, small group, and guided reading in a suburban classroom of approximately 25 students. Designed and co-taught a mathematics lesson using Cuisenaire Rods. Also implemented several interdisciplinary lessons.

Fall 2010

StonyBrook Elementary School, Pennington, New Jersey Sophomore Professional Experience - Fifth Grade Observed an inclusion classroom of approximately 25 students in a suburban district. Evaluated techniques associated with classroom management and co-teaching.

Summer 2006-2008

Erins Gift of Hope Ministry, Pitman, New Jersey Volunteer Teacher/Construction Worker Traveled to Biloxi, Mississippi for one week to reconstruct homes following Hurricane Katrina. Went with a team for ten days to Belize, Central America to teach Vacation Bible School and rebuild a local church used as a local school building. Worked with children ages 2-14 and developed relationships with the community.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE Summer 2012 Leading Edge, Hamilton, New Jersey

Receptionist Performed various administrative tasks at a local drug rehabilitation facility. Tasks included: answering phones, forming interpersonal relationships with clients and staff members, working with computer programs, and organization of paperwork. Developed interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, as well as administrative task proficiency.
