Abstract-With continuous development of UHV transmission technology and increasing of UHV transmission project, UHV will be one of the main power transmissions in China. China's first UHV single-circuit transmission line Jindongnan-NanyangJingmen AC transmission project has been completed and put into operation successfully. Due to the spatial location of UHV transmission line and overhead ground wire on it, induced voltage and induced current generate in the ground line through electromagnetic and electrostatic coupling by transmission circuit. Induced voltage and induced current on overhead ground wire of Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen 1000kV AC line are calculated by EMTP in this paper. Besides, factors such as distance between conductor wire and ground wire, transmission power and segment length of insulated ground wirethat affect induced voltage and induced current on overhead ground wire are analyzed in this paper. This paper can provide a reference for many aspects of UHV transmission line, such as maintenance work, live line work, and rational utilization of induced voltage and induced current. current plays a decisive role in it. Therefore, induced current is approximately equal to the electrostatic coupling current. And the other side of the line will have a very high induced voltage, similar to the electromagnetic coupling voltage. Besides, for two ends grounded ground wire, induced current is close to the electromagnetic coupling current. And these parameters are related to the tower type, the line conductor arrangement, the line operation mode, the line length and other factors [3-7]. Overall, the induced voltage and current in ground lines are related to grounding way of ground wires. Overhead composite cable that has continuous grounding points produces a large induced current in composite ground wire. Insulated overhead ground wire has one end grounded and another insulated, and that will produce a great induced voltage in it [8]. Combined with the parameters of the first UHV transmission lines, Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen UHV AC transmission project, this paper simulates and calculates the induced voltage and induced current in overhead ground under different operating conditions, and analyzes their impact factors. Simulation software used in this paper is the electromagnetic transient program EMTP [9]. II. INDUCED VOLTAGE AND INDUCED CURRENT IN OVERHEAD GROUND WIRE OF UHV SINGLE-CIRCUIT TRANSMISSION LINE Tower type of Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen 1000kV single-circuit transmission line is shown in Fig. 1. Take an 100km transmission line with a full line transposition. One of the overhead ground wires is insulated overhead ground wire and the other is optical fiber composite ground wire [10]. Simulate and calculate the induced voltage and induced current in overhead ground wires with different lengths and different sub-transmission power by EMTP, the results shown in Tables below.

INTRODUCTION

China's first UHV single-circuit transmission line Jindongnan-Nanyang-Jingmen AC transmission project has been completed and put into operation successfully. Great induced voltage and induced current generate in the ground line through electromagnetic and electrostatic coupling by transmission circuit [1-2]. Overhead ground wires on 1000kV UHV transmission lines are usually an insulated overhead ground wire and an optical fiber composite ground wire (OPGW). There are totally 4 different induction parameters in the overhead ground wires: electromagnetic induction voltage, electromagnetic induction current, electrostatic induction voltage, electrostatic induction current. For one end grounded ground wire, induced current will flow through the grounded end, and electrostatic coupling component of the induced

IMPACT FACTORS TO OVERHEAD GROUND INDUCED

VOLTAGE AND CURRENT

A. Impact of the distance between conductor wire and ground wire on induced voltage and current Longer distance between conductor wire and ground wire makes more significant inhibitory effect on the induction parameters. Taken 2000MW transmission power and 5km segment length of insulated ground wire, Fig. 2 shows impact of the distance between conductor wire and ground wire to induced voltage in insulated overhead ground wire when UHV single-circuit transmission line is running. Furthermore, Fig. 3 shows the induced current in OPGW when UHV single-circuit transmission line is running. The abscissa x in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 is the distance between ground wires and the top phase conductor. As shown in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3, the induction parameters decrease with the increasing of the distance between conductor wire and ground wire. And when the distance between conductor wire and ground wire is relatively short, especially shorter than 25 meters, the induced voltage and induced current decrease very quickly. But when the distance increases to more than 25 meters, the induction parameters decrease gently. The reason for this result is that, the value of induced voltage and induced current depend on electromagnetic and electrostatic induction, what are closely related to the distance between ground wires and transmission lines around. Both electromagnetic effect and electrostatic effect get serious with distance between different lines decreasing. When the distance is shorter than 25 meters, electromagnetic effect and electrostatic effect are very serious, so the fluctuations of induced voltage and induced current are considerable when distance changes. Similarly, the distance getting great makes electromagnetic effect and electrostatic effect weak, so induced voltage and induced current decrease when distance changes.

The simulation indicates that, the induced voltage in insulated ground wire of 1000kV UHV AC single-circuit transmission line is up to several hundred V, and it increases with the increasing of insulated ground wire segment length, increases with the increasing of transmission power. Besides, the induced current in OPGW is up to tens of A, and it increases with the increasing of transmission power. Large induced voltage and induced current in overhead ground wires will bring adverse effects, such as energy loss and operational life reduction of overhead ground wires. However, to minimize the induced voltage and induced current in overhead ground wire, we can also make full use of it. For example, install lightning current detection devices on ground wire to make ground wire break detection rapidly and ensure effective lightning protection; use induced voltage and induced current to take power from half-way UHV AC line; use the power from ground wires to drive the insulator decontamination equipments[11].

B. Impact of segment length of insulated ground wire and transmission power on induced voltage Taken 2000MW transmission power, Fig. 4 shows impact of segment length of insulated ground wire on induced voltage in insulated overhead ground wire. Besides, taken 5km segment length of insulated ground wire, Fig. 5 shows impact of transmission power on induced voltage in insulated overhead ground wire. As shown in Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, induced voltage in insulated overhead ground wire increases with the increasing of insulated ground wire segment length, increases with the increasing of transmission power, basically in direct proportion. Furthermore, Fig. 4 shows induced voltage in insulated overhead ground wire increases quickly, increasing almost 100V with the segment length of insulated ground wire increasing 1km. The reason for this result is that, insulated overhead ground wire has one end grounded and another insulated, so induced voltage in insulated overhead ground wire actually reflects the electromagnetic and electrostatic induction on segmented insulated overhead ground wire of 1000kV UHV AC singlecircuit transmission line. UHV AC transmission lines operating voltage is constant, so large operating current, as a result of large transmission power, makes electromagnetic and electrostatic effect serious. Therefore, induced voltage in insulated overhead ground wire increases with the increasing of transmission power. And taking 2000MW transmission power keeps operating current constant, as a result, electromagnetic and electrostatic effect change little. Besides, one end of insulated overhead ground wire is zero potential, so voltage of the other end totally depend on the segment length of insulated ground wire, and longer length brings larger induced voltage. So decreasing the segment length of insulated ground wire is a good measure to decrease the induced voltage in insulated overhead ground wire

CONCLUSION

1) Induced voltage in insulated ground wire of 1000kV UHV AC single-circuit transmission line is up to several hundred V, and the induced current in OPGW is up to tens of A. We can make full and reasonable use of large induced voltage and induced current in 1000kV UHV AC single-circuit transmission line. 2) Factors affect induced voltage and induced current in overhead ground wires include the distance between conductor wire and ground wire, transmission power, segment length of insulated ground wire. 3) The longer distance between conductor wire and ground wire makes more significant inhibitory effect on the amplitude of sensor parameters. And induced voltage in insulated overhead ground wire increases with the increasing of insulated ground wire segment length, increases with the increasing of transmission power, basically in direct proportion. Induced current increases almost linearly with the increasing of transmission power. 4) Features of induced voltage and induced current in overhead ground wires is analyzed in the paper. So in the premise of ensuring transmission power, ways to minimize them include increasing the distance between conductor wire and ground wire, decreasing segment length of insulated ground wire advisably.
