After determining the quorum existed, the 20 Directorate of the Central Student Government of Xavier University proceeded to do business. Agenda: 1. Kamustahan The members of the 20 Directorate started their Basic Orientation session with a Kamustahan wherein each newly elected council president that were present on the session gave their own updates regarding their staff recruitment from their respective college councils. The giving of updates started with Macandili (SBMSC), followed by Veronilla (CONUS), Lopez (UNITASS), Neri (TG) and ended with Guangco (CSSC). 2. Legislative Secretaries After the Kamustahan, the Convener introduced his appointed Legislative Secretaries (to be approved by the Directorate on its Official Session), Mr. Keanu Henri Yu (not present on the session) and Ms. Kristine Jamito. 3. Directorships The Convener opened for discussion the Directorship Posts for the members of the 20 Directorate. He asked the directors if they can choose already their Directorship post but Macandili (SBMSC) raised his suggestion about the matter. Macandili suggested postponing the selection of directorship posts to a session wherein all of the members of the Directorate are present and after they already have thorough knowledge regarding the scope of responsibility of each Directorship post. The other council presidents agreed with the suggestion. Thus, the selection of Directorship post was postponed.

4. Adopting the Parliamentary Procedures The Convener opened for discussion the adoption of Parliamentary procedures for sessions to be th conducted by the 20 Directorate. The member-Directors gave their insights regarding the Parliamentary procedure adoption. There was an initial election for the adoption but suggestions were raised by the member-Directors. In the end, Macandili suggested postponing the election for adopting the Parliamentary procedures to a session wherein all of the members of the Directorate are present and after they already have thorough knowledge regarding the matter. The other council presidents agreed with the suggestion. Thus, the election for adopting the Parliamentary procedures was postponed. 5. 2013 Proposed CSG Constitution The Convener opened for discussion the 2013 Proposed CSG Constitution. The Convener asked the th member-Directors if the 20 Directorate will be going to push through with its ratification via plebiscite but th a suggestion was raised. It was suggested that the 20 Directorate shall review again the current constitution and the proposed 2013 constitution of the CSG. The council presidents agreed with the suggestion. 6. Future Resolutions and/or Bills The Convener requested the member-Directors to formulate future resolutions ahead that will really be beneficial to its constituents and to the CSG as a whole. The formulated ideas will then be discussed on the next session of the Directorate. 7. Other Matters There were no other matters raised during the session.

ADJOURNMENT Having covered all items for discussion, the First Phase of the Basic Orientation formally adjourned at 11:00 in the morning. The whole duration of the meeting is 1 hour and 15 minutes only.
