Invited speakers Professor Jagdeep Nanchahal
Professor of Hand, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, University of Oxford. Honorary Consultant in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust London, Professor Nanchahal will chair the event and will be presenting on the role of NPWT in open fractures

Dr Hanne Birke Srensen


Assistant Professor at Aarhus University, faculty of Health. Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon based at the Aleris-Hamlet Hospital in Aarhus. Dr Srensen will present on the application of NPWT to soft tissue injury and highlight this using the International Expert Panel Guidelines

Mr Graeme Glass
A clinical academic lecturer based at the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology, University of Oxford and specialist registrar in plastic & reconstructive surgery in the London Deanery. Mr Glass will be reviewing evidence for optimal application and use of NPWT

Professor Steven Jeffery


Consultant Plastic Surgeon based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham. Professor Jeffery will be presenting on the pathway of care from trauma to rehabilitation

Mr Sudheer Karlakki
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon based at Robert Jones Agnes Hunt Hospital in Shropshire. Mr Karlakki will be presenting on the role of incisional negative pressure wound therapy in hip and knee replacement

Dr Malin Malmsj
Professor and Senior Consultant, Clinical Sciences, Lund University and Skane University Hospital, Sweden. Dr Malmsj will be presenting on the mode of action of negative pressure wound therapy

Dr Robin Martin
Clinical Science Program Manager at Smith & Nephew Healthcare. Dr Martin will be presenting on the role of negative pressure wound therapy in closed incisions

Mr Michael Pearse
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London. Mr Pearse will be presenting on the role of NPWT in the management of infected fractures
