I. SCOPE : This specification covers the supply of relay (81).

II. STANDARD OF MANUFACTURE AND TEST : IEC 255 : Electric relays. III. TECHNICAL DATA : 1. Construction : The relay should operate on the basis of numeral measuring principle. Terminals : Plug - in crew type. The relay consists of a case used for flush mounting and will be supplied with all accessories for installation and operation. - An alarm output is also provided to signal a critical alarm such as power supply failure or self-check failure. 2. Technical data : The protective function : + Under or over frequency. + Under voltage (When the voltage lower 60% Vn, the relay will be locked). - DC supply : 90 240 Vdc. Tenderer may quote the relay with operating voltage of 110Vdc 10% and the voltage divider to be able to supply the operating voltage of 220Vdc to the relay. - Display : LCD. - Settings : + Over frequency (f1 >) : 51 to 55.75 Hz adjustable in steps of 0.25 Hz. + Under frequency (f2 <) : 45 to 49.75 Hz adjustable in steps of 0.25 Hz. + Time delay : 0.4s to 4.4s adjustable in steps of 0.4s. + Under voltage : When the voltage lower 60% Vn, the relay will be locked. - Operating time : + Response time : 180 ms + Reset time : 180 ms - Contacts : 4 NC + 4 NO - Contact ratings : + For 0.2s : 30A and 300VDC + For continuous : 5A and 300VDC -

Mechanical durability : + Loaded contact : minimum 10.000 operations. + Unloaded contact : minimum 100.000 operations.

IV/. TESTING REQUIREMENT : - The relay is subject to inspection during manufacturing. Routine and type tests of each relay including operational test at minimum, accuracy tests will be performed according to IEC 255 standard. - In order to ensure the quality of supplied goods , in case of bid winning , the Tenderer shall supply routine test and copies of type test report met the following requirements: a. Routine test shall be performed for each equipment. b. Type test report shall meet the followings : - Testing sample : The same as the supplied item (manufacturer, original country, manufactures code as specified in tender document). - Testing items : Including testing items according to IEC 255. - Testing values shall be corresponding values as stated in Section III of this specification. If in section III, there are no corresponding values, testing values will be selected according to the standard specified in section II of this specification. V/. REQUIREMENT OF TECHNICAL TENDER DOCUMENT : - Technical description, data sheets, catalogues and other material submitted with the quotation must enable the buyer's engineers to thoroughly evaluate the proposals as to its compliance with the inquiry specifications. - Minimum requirements : + Detailed summary of deviations to inquiry specification. + Completed inquiry data sheet expressed at clause VI. + Brochures and catalogues containing outline dimensions, main electrical data and installation details. + Certificate of quality management. - The proposal bidding has Type Test Report which meets the requirements as specified in item IV 2.b will be preferable.
