State statutes 115C-12(21) and (27) require that North Carolina schools report annual numbers of: Acts of crime and violence Suspensions and expulsions Enrollments in alternative learning programs Discipline Data Collection Process The Uniform System of Disciplinary Data Collection (USDDC) is the primary method used by DPI to collect discipline data from all North Carolina public schools. Offense Definitions Definitions of 16 criminal offenses, a subset of the 29 school offenses that are required to be reported to DPI.
