Machine Information The low cost mini sanitary napkin manufacturing machine, a revolutionary concept among the high cost complicated machines now in use, will be of immense benefit to ladies SHGs and aspiring women entrepreneurs. In this machine, wood fiber (raw material) is defibrated, core formed and sealed with soft touch sensitive heat control, giving the final shape of the napkins. The machine requires single phase electricity for 1HP drive, can be accommodated in a space of 3.5 meters X 3.5 meters and will produce 2 napkins per minute. The sanitary napkins made out of this machine were distributed on trial basis among women who are used to other expensive napkins available in the market. The feed back from them has been extremely satisfactory, many of them expressing the opinion that they did not find any difference. This machine costs only Rs. 75,000 (Taxes and Installation Expenses extra). Banks and financial lending institutions will find it easier to finance this cottage industry.

Market Currently the size of the Indian Sanitary Napkins market is 2,000 crores it is growing 16% annually. There is a large Female Group even they aware of the napkins due to affordability (cost of MNC napkins) they are not using napkins, by reaching the particular Female group with suitable pricing, the napkins can be branded very quickly in local Market. Installed Capacity The installed capacity of unit is 1,440 Napkins per day on single shifts basis. The annual capacity works out to 4,32,000 Napkins.

FAQs

Manufacturing process in detail with operation manual. Manufacturing process:

Firstly de fibration of wood pulp is done on the defibration machine. Secondly the de fibred wood pulp is measured on a weighing scale. Thirdly the wood pulp is filled on a core block and pressed by core forming machine After this, pressed cores are wrapped by non woven fabric and sealed by using napkin finishing machine (sealing machine). Then position sticker is pasted on the napkin and then packed. Intensive training to manufacture napkins is given on field.

4. Freight charges for supply at Destination place The cost of packing charges mentioned in quotation. And freight charges have been separately informed as per distance from Coimbatore to Destination place and customer Transport choices. The fright charges paid by buyer 5. Tax on machinery and equipment Central sale tax of 12.5% on machinery and on raw materials will be charged also if any other taxes levied by respective State Govt, Should be paid by Buyer. 7. Cost of erection and commissioning. It may be noted that one persons conveyance ( to and fro) from Coimbatore to Destination place and accommodation ,food charges extra 8. Charges for training of personnel for operation and maintenance. Free One day training will be given, any additional days training will be charged. 9. Assurance from you for future supply of raw materials. The materials are available through out the year. We assure you supply of fresh raw materials for which order has to be placed 4 weeks in advance.

10. Requirement of space for plant operation, storage of raw materials and finished goods. One would require either 16 feet X 16 feet room or 12 feet x 10 feet, two rooms at your convenience may also made. for plant operation, storage of raw materials and finished goods. The entrance should however be not less than 30 inches width. 11. Precaution required for production of Sanitary napkin from hygiene point of view. Cleanliness of production and storage place is mandatory. However if you wish to maintain a clean atmosphere please follow the points mentioned below.

The napkin manufacturing place should be clean ( like our Kitchen). All work should be done on work table only ( like QC, packing, Etc.) While making napkins worker should wear work coat, hand gloves, head cap and mouth closer. No foot wear allowed while making napkins. Dont allow visitors ( they sneeze or touch the napkins) if necessary visitors can be allowed on workers uniform. Everyday production should be packed and stored; no napkins should be kept open after production.

12. Delivery period. The delivery within two to three weeks for order along with Full payment D.D. to be paid in favour of M/S. Jayaashree Industries, payable at Coimbatore.
