Along with SaddleGel, our proprietary Black Magic foam is specifically formulated for motorcycle use. It resists collapsing on long rides and will not decay with age. Black Magic is one-piece polyurethane foam that is carefully molded at the Saddlemen factory with a skin that resists penetration by rain or perspiration. This specially molded foam utilizes open cell foam for comfort and dense closed cell walls for support and is superior to all other foam designs. The Black Magic and SaddleGel combination, along with our SaddleHyde and soft leather coverings, ensure Saddlemen seats provide the highest comfort for the rider. Painstaking development has resulted in seating contours that are vastly more comfortable than the original factory seat and many other custom seats.
INTEGRATED DESIGN PROCESS
The primary component that separates a Saddlemen seat from all the others is SaddleGel, a Saddlemen exclusive. SaddleGel is a highly refined visco-elastic gel formulation that was developed over many years to provide superior cushioning, support and dampening of road vibrations. The technology was borrowed from the medical industry where immobilized patients needed support to prevent discomfort caused by prolonged pressure in fixed positions. Molded in place during the foaming process, SaddleGel will never leak, displace or wearout with heavy use; and it carries a lifetime warranty. Saddlemen seats with SaddleGel are firm to maintain seat shape, but at the same time are compliant enough to allow the seat to automatically conform to equally support each riders unique body form. SaddleGel technology is especially beneficial for thinner seats where foam alone is not sufficient to provide comfort and is standard in all Saddlemen seats.

SaddleGel is especially beneficial for thinner seats where foam alone is not sufficient to provide comfort. SaddleGel designs are firm to maintain seat shape but at the same time are compliant (soft) enough to allow the seat to automatically adjust shape (conform) to equally support each individual's unique body form.
