Company Objectives
To provide victims of physical abuse in the home with information on how to eliminate this violence from their lives. The site also provides information to those who arent being abused, on what exactly domestic violence is, and how they can contribute to minimizing it. The Purpose of this redesign is to improve the aesthetics of the site, while organizing the information provided. Currently, there are too many links, and too much information for someone to navigate easily. Should a victim be looking at this site in an attempt to get help, they probably would not get what they need in a good about of time. Some of the changes being made include adjusting the main navigation and submenus, logo redesign, and a banner to create a better sense of hierarchy.
Those who would like more information on domestic violence. Perhaps the viewer knows someone who is being abused and would like to help, or someone who takes an interest in the issue.
Complimentary User
Victims of abuse. Thse who will not often visit the site, due to their situations, but will use the information given to better their lives.

Todd has noticed that his friend has been acting strange lately. Shes stopped hanging out with her friends as much, and when she does, she seems very fidgety and anxious. Shes been wearing a lot more make-up, and sunglasses even on cloudy days. One day, Todd noticed a bruise on her arm. When he asked her about it, she quickly brushed it off as though she didnt know where it came from. About NCADV
Mission Statement and Purpose The Mission of the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (NCADV) is to organize for collective power by advancing transformative work, thinking and leadership of communities and individuals working to end the violence in our lives. NCADV believes violence against women and children results from the use of force or threat to achieve and maintain control over others in intimate relationships, and from societal abuse of power and domination in the forms of sexism, racism, homophobia, classism, anti-Semitism, able-bodyism, ageism and other oppressions. NCADV recognizes that the abuses of power in society foster battering by perpetuating conditions, which condone violence against women and children. Therefore, it is the mission of NCADV to work for major societal changes necessary to eliminate both personal and societal violence against all women and children. NCADV's work includes coalition building at the local, state, regional and national levels; support for the provision of community-based, non-violent alternatives - such as safe home and shelter programs - for battered women and their children; public education and technical assistance; policy development and innovative legislation; focus on the leadership of NCADV's caucuses developed to represent the concerns of organizationally under represented groups; and eorts to eradicate social conditions which contribute to violence against women and children.
