5 Key elements in implementing TQM. (No description) I. Management commitment and involvement Management commitment in TQM is essential for the organization to achieve excellence. Commitment and personal involvement is required from top managemet in creating a quality vision consistent with the objectives of the company. There must be a well defined systems, methods and performance measures for achieving those goals. Improvement of quality control, techniques and methods Improvement is a type of change that is focused on increasing the effectiveness of an organisation to fulfil its policy and objectives. Continual improvement should be in everything in the organisation functions at all levels. Continual improvement should also lead to better results such as price, cost, productivity, time to market, delivery, responsiveness, profit and customer and employee satisfaction. There has been a tendency in TQM programmes to focus on departmental improvement which does not improve business results overall but may remove problem somewhere else in the process chain. Participation of staff at all level TQM implementation is at all level that is all department and all operations and process are affected. So it is expected to have participation of all staff directly or indirectly related to the process Through training to promote quality awareness Training is very important for employees to be highly productive. Training that employees require are interpersonal skills, the ability to function within teams, problem solving, decision making, job management performance analysis and improvement, business economics and technical skills During the creation and formation of TQM, employees are trained so that they can become effective employees for the company.

Teamwork approach to solving problem With the use of teams, the business will receive quicker and better solutions to problems. Teams also provide more permanent improvements in processes and operations. In teams, people feel more comfortable bringing up problems that may occur, and can get help from other workers to find a solution and put into place.
