This document provides information on downloading Motorola Solutions device templates in Atoll, creating a document in Atoll using these templates, importing maps in Atoll, and running coverage predictions using the Motorola Solutions templates. 5. Save the zip anywhere on the computer and extract the contents 6. Browse to Atoll installation directory. By default, Atoll gets installed at C:/Program Files/Forsk/Atoll. Open the templates directory
7. Copy the template files (.mdb) from the extracted folder to the templates folder
4. Select the Motorola Solutions template saved in the templates directory 5. An ATL type document will open up based on the Motorola Solutions template. You can use the document for Motorola Solutions PMP network planning, predictions and simulations
3. Set the Projection and Display type. This step is very important. If the correct projection is not set, clutter or terrain might not be seen even after being imported in a project
5. Browse to the location of a terrain file. Select the terrain you want to load in Atoll and Click Open
6. In the dialog that comes up, select the Altitudes radio button and click Ok
7. To load a clutter file in Atoll, again go to File > Import 8. Browse to the location of the clutter file you want to load in Atoll and click Open
9. In the dialog that comes up, select the Clutter Classes radio button and click Ok
10. Once imported, the terrain and clutter files can be seen in the Atoll document. The terrain file name is shown under Geo tab > Digital Terrain Model

4. Select the Motorola Solutions template saved in the templates directory. For example, Motorola Solutions PMP100 FSK template.mdb 5. Select a product from the dropdown on the toolbar

6. Click on the New transmitter or base station icon and begin placing transmitters on the canvas
7. Go to Geo tab and expand the node Zones 8. Right click on the Computation Zone option and select Fit to Map Window

9. Go back to the data tab and expand the node for transmitters. If the transmitters are shown inactive, activate them.
10. Right click on the node for Predictions > New > and select the type of prediction you want to run. For example within the study types select, Coverage by Signal Level > Click on OK

11. Select the required settings from General, Conditions and Display tabs and click Run
