About Advanced Analytical Solutions

Citi Decision Management founded its Global Centre of Excellence, Advanced Analytical Solutions, in 2003. It was set up to act as a globally leveragable platform for providing high impact analytical solutions to business problems. The AAS has evolved from an initial 20 person unit in 2004 to a group currently in excess of 180 resources. Today, AAS resources are staffed in three locations: Bangalore (India), Budapest (Hungary) and in the US. Role Outline
The Senior Analyst Strategic Information Solutions Role is based at the AAS Bangalore Center and reports into the Manager/AVP leading the team. The Senior Analyst will be a part of one of the business teams AAS partners with (NA Cards, NA Retail Bank, EMEA Cards, APAC Cards, APAC Retail Bank, Banamex, Growth Venture etc), or in a SIS Functional Role. The key requirement for the role is the ability to understand the business, develop data-driven solutions to address business problems and independently manage end-to-end project communication with business partners. The individual will possess the ability to work in teams and display a proactive learning attitude. We are looking for Self-motivated individuals who are comfortable working in bigger teams. A flexible, positive and mature mindset to deal with ambiguities of complex business problems is a must.

Job Description
Job Title: Job Family: Reports to: Location: Job Purpose Provide analytic support to the business teams, understand the business context and formulate and execute appropriate analytical approach(es) to address the business requirement. Independently manage end-to-end partner communication. Responsibilities Data Extraction and Data Manipulation: Take ownership in extracting data for the various projects. This would require an understanding of the project objectives and data requirements, working with the databases to meet the data needs for the project. Data Analysis: Undertake complex analysis to accomplish the project objective. Code, Test and Execute information systems projects. Presentation of results: The individual would be expected to independently design presentations to summarize the result of analysis. Business Knowledge: Develop an understanding of the domain/function. Manage business process (es) in the work area. The individual is expected to develop domain expertise in his/her work area. Teamwork: Develop cross-site relationships to enhance leverage of ideas. Set and manage partner expectations. Coach and mentor new hires in the team. Coach and mentor junior analysts by sharing Business, Functional and Technical expertise Communication: Independently manage end-to-end project communication across the various levels in the organization. Candidate Specification
Skills Established competency in one or more of following: SAS, SQL, UNIX, RDBMS Extensive business knowledge and relevant area expertise Technical expertise in Data Modeling or/and any Reporting technologies

Strong analytical aptitude and logical reasoning ability Strong presentation and communication skills Strong process/project management skills

Knowledge and Expertise Good knowledge of Information Systems development, with particular emphasis in the use of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence Architectures.

Preferred 2-5 Yrs Experience in Financial Services/Analytics Industry With Masters degree in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications / Engineering from a premiere institute. OR BTech in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications / Engineering from a premier institute with additional 2 years of experience Understanding of the Financial Services business / Database Marketing / Data Quality
