RIGHTS OF

BELIEVER













Prophet

Every


Muslim has 30
obligations over his
brother-in-faith, which he
could not be said to have
met unless he either
performs them or is
excused by his brotherin-faith from performing

These obligations are:


Forgiving his mistakes


and



being merciful and kind


to him when he is in a
strange land and



guarding his secrets


and



giving him his hand


when he is about to fall
and


accepting his apology


and


discouraging backbiting
about him and



persisting in giving him


good advice and




treasuring his friendship


and


fulfilling his trust and


visiting him when he is


ill and


being with him at the


time of his death and





accept his invitation and


his presents and



returning his favors in


the same manner and


thanking him for his


favor and





being grateful for his


assistance and




protecting his honor and


property and




helping him to meet his


needs and



making an effort to solve


his problems and






saying to him, 'God bless


you ' when he sneezes
and



guiding to him to the


thing he has lost and



answering his greetings


and




taking him at his word


(not drawing a bad
interpretation of the
things he says) and

accepting his bestowals


and




confirming him if he
swears to something
and

being kind and friendly


towards him, not
unsympathetic and
hostile and











whether


is
helping
him
he

being unjust or is a victim of


injustice; when helping him
while he is being unjust, it is
meant that he must be kept
from being unjust; when
coming to his aid while he is
a victim of injustice, it is
meant that he should be
assisted in securing his rights


refraining from feeling


bored or fed up of him
and


not forsaking him in the


midst of his troubles
and








whatever good things he


likes for himself he
should also like for his
brotherinfaith and




whatever he dislikes for


himself he should also
dislike for his
brotherinfaith.
