Two Years and Eight Stinky Feet Later...

How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things! -Romans 10:15 (NKJV) Looking back over our first term in Uganda ,we see a lot of stinky feet from little boys stomping in mud puddles to brave teachers bringing goats to school, teens with muddy feet running down a slip and slide and a hurting youth sitting with his feet under a lunch table. Weve had piles of shoes at the entrance to our home, and seen little barefoot children begging along the road. Some days our feet were weary, and we just wanted to soak in a warm bath, then curl up under the covers. Other days we felt we could run for miles! This is a marathon, not a sprint. Its tempting to feel good about all we have done or to feel bad about all the things we havent settled in to life here.

God has blessed many people with hospitality in our home, whether it was a bed or a meal. God is moving at Heritage International School6 students gave their testimonies this year! God is at work in the university ministry Kennedy and Lillian Kirui are back in Kampala. God is speaking into the hearts of some neighbor guards on our hill.

Hospitality at its finest

accomplishedbut this is just the beginning. We have only just gotten our feet wet. God has done great things this first term! He has been at work growing and transforming us, but He has also used us to bring about transformation in others. Were so grateful.

He got us here! After 2 years of fundraising, we reached 100%. He helped us make a smooth transition. All our luggage arrived, and the boys quickly

Thank you for being a part of His plans here! More stories on our blog:

Hands and Feet How to Play Your Role in Uganda Well (see I Corinthians 12).
We cant all fly to Uganda, and we are painfully aware that our role in Uganda will change this year. So how can God use us to bless Uganda from America?

Pray. Often and specifically. Want to pray for a student by name? Let us know! Join us: we will be hosting Prayer Nights in New Jersey regularly. Mobilize. Get other people excited about what God is doing in Uganda! Give. Consider your current financial commitment. Does God want you to continue giving? Does He want you to increase your pledge? Do you need to start pledging?
