This group, a part of the church's community programme of activities, exists for newcomers to painting and others with previous experience. A wide range of topics is covered, and all equipment and materials are provided for a fee of 8 per session including refreshments. Some vacancies currently exist (Summer 2013) in this relaxed and enthusiastic group, and details are available from the secretary. Oliver Brooke email: oliver.brooke@talktalk.net Telephone: 01732 462345 BESSELS GREEN ART GROUP This group was started off by local artist and teacher Sarah Cunnington and ran under her leadership for about two years until she emigrated to France in 2004. The group decided to continue meeting on Friday mornings in term time in the large, light and airy hall at the rear of Bessels Green Baptist Church. Becoming consolidated into the community programme of the church, enthusiasm for the club continues to run high with an average attendance of around twenty. Currently (Summer 2013) there are no vacancies, but anyone interested could be considered for a waiting list, but please note we do not teach the basics in this group. Meetings are led by a circulating group of professional artist teachers, pursuing topics by mutual discussion and agreement, while a smaller number follow their own special interests. A wide variety of media are used within the group, though it might be true to say that watercolour is used the most.

Refreshments are available throughout the morning, and music can sometimes be heard in the background! An exhibition occurs twice yearly, in August and at Christmas. Secretary : Oliver Brooke Email: oliver.brooke@talktalk.net Telephone: 01732 462345
