this's part 3 and the title is "dual booting in Raspberry Pi" if we do some google with "dual booting in Raspberry Pi" you may get some RPi forum page that pointing us to berryboot, yapzz! berryboot is nice tools to make multyple boot for RPi with an easy way, and you can find clear walktrough at berryboot homepage, soo.. its useless to make a blog about making duat boot with berryboot here, he but dont worry, we still can have a journey here!

we'll make a multiple boot without berryboot help, here Im dual booting my old Alarm that had installed on my SD Card with Pwn|Pi

first we need to make a room for our second OS, so just use gparted-resize-and-make a new partition,

then just copy root partition from our disk image to our new second partition you may use kpartx to mount disk image (.img file) then rsync to copy all the file, orrr.. just rsync if you have installed image on another SD Card,
# kpartx -av disk-image.img # mount /dev/mapper/loop0p2 /mnt/part2 # mount /dev/mmcblk0p3 /mnt/secos # rsync -vrpoglHDIt --progress /mnt/part2 /mnt/secos

(adjust mount point according to your own system) ah, we can also use "dd" for copying root partition directly from .img file but I find my partition become "unknown"

ok, now the final touch, we need to copy pwnpi kernel (our second os kernel.img) to /boot partition and rename it,

then how it works? how we change booted OS?

yapzz. because we dont have grub or else in RPi, we need to edit cmdline.txt manually-change root path before reboot if we want change OS,

I feel more comfort with this way than use berryboot, I sudn't wipe my SD and, beside I get "read only filesystem" issue
