Thequalitativetechniquefordatacollectionrequiresupcloseobservationanddescriptionof whatishappening.Thedatabeingcollectedisusuallyaboutwhatishappeningatthepresent momentanddoesnotincludeanyinformationregardingresultsoftheactionsoccurring.The focusisondevelopingmeaningbyobservingactionsratherthanthroughgatheringraw numericaldataaboutanevent. Thequantitativetechniquefordatacollection,ontheotherhand,isallaboutconcretenumerical analysis.Datacanbecollectedthroughtests,counts,measuresandotherinstruments. Qualitativedataisusedtomakepredictions,determineresults,andshowcausalrelationships betweenevents. Inmyevaluationproject,IamtryingtodetermineifGoogleSitesisanadequatetooltouseasan LMSformyschooldistrictbasedontheirneeds.
