Krishna Vada-Pav is sole-proprietorship microenterprise. It is located in Kashipura at Borsad. It was started in the year 2001 by the owner named Mr.Kishan Parekh. He is in this line of operation since last 10 yrs. He also had another branch of Krishna Vada-Pav which is located at Bus stand area of Borsad having two employees. The branch of KrishnaVada-Pav at Kashipura has only one employees and the relationship of the owner is very frankly with their employees. Mr. Kishanbhai-owner of microenterprise is living in Kashipura, Borsad with his parents and his wife and also had two son. He was a B.A. graduate. Initially he started with one branch at Kashipura, Borsad after some year he expanded and opened up another branch . Their enterprise is facing competition from Anand Vada-Pav located in opposite of his enterprise. Initially when it was started he does not find any difficulty in entry to barriers of the microenterprise. He had selected Kashipura location for the reason that it is residential area and it is also near to his home so migration or traveling time is less or reduced. They prepare Vada-Pav as per the order of the customer and also take bulk order for the social functions like Marriages, Navaratri etc. and the price per Vada-Pav is Rs. 8. Their customers are regular and are more loyal to their product because the perception of the customers regarding the product is that the product is of best quality and available at reasonable price as compared to other in near areas. They purchase raw-materials from nearby market and also from bakeries and the useful vegetables are purchased from vegetable market. The operation is handled sometimes by owner himself and sometimes the operations are handled by the employee that means there is some sort of decentralization in the enterprise. The shop is opened for 10 hours (10:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.) in all days of week. But they had a off in festivals like Diwali, Uttarayan, Holi etc. He managed the operation with self and employees and sometimes family also. The microenterprise Krishana Vada-Pav is not networked to other microenterprises because of the reason that they have monopoly in their areas as there is only one other Vada-Pav enterprise and their customers are more loyal to their products so they do need to create awareness for their enterprise. The customers are more loyal and satisfied with their products so obviously they will their friends and relatives

to visit that place this way their awareness is created by their customers. He is also satisfied with his enterprise.

Initially for setting up of microenterprise they used own money for the purpose on investment i.e., for starting up of the microenterprise. Their assets include Chairs, One iron counter and the total value for the entire enterprise was Rs. 40000 approximately. Their income is Rs, 4500 daily and there is variations also it depends on sometimes the climatic conditions. The expenditure is Rs. 3700 daily approximately but in most of the cases they have surplus (i.e., Profit only). There is no any other pressure from the political, official, and other microenterprise extortionists etc. and also do not have any local or financial support from banks, development organizations etc.
