DESIGN THE WEB SERVER BY USING MICRO CONTROLLER

ABSTRACT The main aim of this project is to control the remote place devices. Better way of achieving this aim is by making an embedded web server to connect our controlling system to the internet or LAN. In embedded systems, to control any of the particular devices there are some many technologies are there like wired, wireless etc. But to control any of the devices using networking technology is challenging here. Like to control the printer devices and the attendance system device through online is the difficult. To overcome the above problem, we are introducing the project called Embedded web server. The embedded web server is the network based system. The main objective of this project is to control device through online. In this project we will provide the IP address to the users. Then user just has to enter that IP address in the web browser and it will open one html page. Then he can select any of the devices which are displaying at the page and then he can select either ON/off. Then our module will receive that information and will take the correspondence action for that. In the server side there will be one serial to Ethernet converter which converts the data transferring between the client and the server. This web server will be designed using an 8051 based micro controller. The micro controller was interfaced to an Ethernet network using an Ethernet transceiver chip. This allows the user to connect to the micro controller using client browser and control the devices remotely.

INTRODUCTION

The rapid advances in semiconductor technology throughout the last decade of the 20th century have enabled the development of powerful new microprocessors and microcontrollers, bringing the embedded world computational power previously found only in mainframes, supercomputers, and idiot savants like the Rain man. RISC architectures, previously untenable in a cost sensitive embedded word (due to their thirst for expensive memory), have now been adopted as somewhat standard fare. National Semiconductors Compact RISC is one such architecture, having at once the power necessary to run the networking software to connect your embedded application to the Internet, and the memory efficiency still requisite in the embedded world.
