Leveling of stator stool at service bay Placement and lavelling of Stator segments on the pedestals. Fixing of Nomex insulation paper on joining surface of stator core to avoid mechanical damage of core and insulation between lamination. Assemble the stator segmnets and Measurement of stator diameter, even if required fixing and welding of respective shim/spacer plate provided for achieving the required ID. Joining of stator segments by fastening nut & bolts and ( torque tightening if required ) Any uneven gap at core joints shall be packed up with RCAF sheet permanite AERO 0.8mm or more than the gap observed even in case of zero gap one packing of 0.5mm thickness shall be used. Assemble all stator pressing plate at bottom using M16 screw (item 21) after lavelling.Tightening the screw item 21 to lock pressing plate without disturbing the level.Item pressing plate to be removed after core assembly and core flux test. Centering of Stator and ID measurement Lock all the joint bolts of joint plate in stator frame by welding locking bar (item 10-Core nut M 36) of joint bar assembly. Checking of key bar (item no.6) ensure its flatness, straightness and free from twist. Proper seating of horse shoe plate(item no.7) on stator plate to be ensured,if required grind the seating surfaces of the horse shoe plate on the stator plate before welding. Checking of Joints which are falls on the slot No. Inter welding of base plates of stator segments step by step taking care not to any shrink during welding

7 These bars (Bottom & Top Bars) are separated as below mentioned steps and are connected at the ends The winding consists of 2 parallel paths having 512 nos. of slots in which double layer 9 are inserted 10 Heating of bar was done to remove the moisture for HV Test Polarization Index Measurement Test, Insulation Resistance (IR) Test, High Voltage 11 Test were carried out Slot keys/wedges of different size (35, 40, 45 mm length) were fixed to lock the Top 12 winding bar in the stator slot Impregnation Tapping was done at both DE & NDE for supporting the overhang portions 13 of windings by painting of (EPOXY RESIN (100 ml) (BISPHENOL-A) + REN HY 956(23 mg) as Hardener Then ends of Bottom and Top bars were brazed by Induction Brazing machine at both 14 DE & NDE 15 Joints were checked for cracks, if there were any, rebasing was done 16 Checking done by UT Test 17 Joints were cleaned by rubbing & acetone followed by primary painting 8
