Note: Submission of application can only be done personally or by legal guardian in case of minors on prior appointment at the Embassy/Honorary Consulate. At the time of submission an application fee (Euro 80,- for adults and Euro 50,- for minor children from the age of 2 years) will be charged that is to be paid in cash. The fee is subject to change according to the present exchange rate. Applicant can be asked for additional documents if deemed necessary by the Embassy. Original Indian documents like Birth certificate, Marriage certificate have to be authenticated by the designated agencies in the state from where the document has been issued and furnished with an Apostille issued by the CPV division of the Ministry of External Affairs, Patiala House, New-Delhi Original documents of other countries well have to be attested according to the local procedure Applications have to be submitted along with two sets of photocopies of all papers All documents in any other language then German or English will have to be submitted together with a German or English translation. The application is processed by the regional settlement authority in Austria and will take at least two months. The Embassy has no information whatsoever regarding the status of the application while it is being processed in Austria; therefore no queries will be entertained.
