Matt Hackers Recommendations ______________________________________________________________________________ To whom it may concern, I have had the privilege of working with Mr.

Hacker through UGA Miracle for the 2012-2013 year, where he served as our Hospital Relations chair, planning special events and visits for patients at Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta. Several outstanding characteristics stick out about Matthew, but his greatest strength is the way he leads by serving others. All too often during my young career, I have witnessed leaders who focus too much on themselves and too little on the development and service for their constituents, but this trend is the exact opposite with Mr. Hacker. As a member of our executive board, Matthew was the first to volunteer for help, was always on-time and professional, and brought a fun, loving, dynamic personality to our team that really brought people together. In addition to his role on our executive board, Matthew was responsible for leading a committee of 80 members. For this group, he worked long hours to ensure that he created the best experience possible for each of them. By years end, he accomplished this, as the love his committee had for him was unrivaled and this group of 80 raised over $40,000 for our organization- a huge testament to his leadership ability and character. Matthew is a true leader of people and understands the value of servant leadership; it is my opinion that one can always learn new skills in the workforce, but one must intangibly have the heart and ability to lead people with compassion and integrity, which Matthew demonstrates more than most young men I have ever seen. A second positive trait I will speak on for Matthew is his innovation. In the three years previous, the Hospital Relations position within our organization had been doing the same things. During his tenure, Matthew brought innovation and new ideas to the position, all of which were positive. His team worked more closely with hospital staff than in years previous, hosted more visits than ever before for our students to interact with hospital patients, and brought our hospital to our campus in a way never seen before at our main event with Inspiration Station- a collection of pictures and testimonies from the hospital visits his committee hosted for our entire organization to see. Not only were his ideas innovative, but he executed them flawlessly and of the utmost quality, displaying a combination of innovation and performance rarely seen in a young leader. The progress made under his leadership in our Hospital Relations department was unlike any progress seen in the previous three years combined. As a member of our executive board, Matthew was been an outstanding contributor, leader, and example for other members because of his innovation, dedication, servant leadership mindset, quality performance, and professionalism. No matter the position he is being considered for, I would strongly recommend him based on his track record under my leadership and the outstanding skills and character he demonstrates on a daily basis. Best, Trey Bryant UGA Miracle Executive Director, 2012-2013
