In April of 1964, U.S. Senator Jacob Javits read into the Congressional Record the details of the Bilderberg Meeting he had attended March 20-22 of that year. Source: U.S. Congressional Record, April 11, 1964, Vol. 110, Part 6, pp. 7684 & 7685. Excerpt: "Mr. Javits. Mr. President, the 13th in a series of Bilderberg Meetings on international affairs, in which I participated, was held in Williamsburg, VA on March 20, 21, and 22. These meetings are designed to bring together leading figures in the United States, Canada, and Western Europe for informal round table discussions of international problems, particularly those affecting the Atlantic community." Some of the U.S. attendees of the Williamsburg meeting included Dean Acheson, Congressman Gerald Ford, Senator William J. Fulbright, Henry J. Heinz, Charles Jackson (Time, Inc.), Senator Henry M. Jackson, Senator Jacob Javits, Henry A. Kissinger, David Rockefeller (Chase Manhattan), Shepard Stone (Ford Foundation), and Walter Wriston (First National City Bank).
