Person of New York City that Inspires. My favorite artist is Jay-Z; master of flows, and master of ceremonies. The dude that can ride any beat with dexterous ease, tell stories that soothe the soul, and at the same time construct bangers that millions vibe and relate to. Im from Queens and he is from Brooklyn, but I would give him the helm of representing hip hop in our city before even Nas. His Blueprint 2: Gift & the Curse album and Will Smiths Willenium were my introductions to the hip-hop sound and culture. However its not simply his knowledge of music, and ability to make the listener want to jump into his shoes, but also his disciplined business acumen that makes him an icon to me. Sean Carter, a kid from Marcy refined his ability to hold onto publishing rights that source wealth years after a record is released. He was able to grow out of his player lifestyle and remain faithful to his wife who was at one time rated the most beautiful woman on the planet. What really inspires me is that no matter what changes occur in the music industry, he has adapted, and been a trailblazing leader in the likes of a Miles Davis for hip-hop.

I dont believe that female sexual freedom of the sort found in New York City, is exclusive. What about Los Angeles and what about Los Angeles Tennessee? I believe sexual liberation has more to do with economic status; job opportunities, and freedom before being confined to one location. History teaches us that when any marginalized group is able to organize an economic and political power base, societal freedoms follow suit.( Examples include a black
middle class leading the Civil Rights struggle, and the homosexual claim to Christopher Street in Manhattans West Village. ) Although the suffrage movements that their origins in the Northeast, it is now a national phenomenon. Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg recently published a book called Lean In, discussing the new role women have in corporate power positions. It is only natural that any woman could choose to treat men like Samantha Jones did in Sex & the City if they possessed similar business acumen and financial independence.
