JURY REPORT
The Jury of AUSTRALIA 2013 World Stamp Exhibition has completed judging. We were pleased to see the high standard of exhibiting being maintained at this show. Altogether 684 exhibits were judged and this resulted in 49 Large Gold medals and 121 Gold medals being awarded. All judgments were made unanimously and harmoniously. There were a number of exhibits transferred to different exhibition classes to enable them to achieve higher awards. It was with regret that 9 exhibits were not shown. The Jury was particularly pleased to see many first-time exhibits as well as exhibits from the Oneframe Class and Modern Philately collections from novice and experienced exhibitors. Open Philately exhibits were on display for the first time since the new regulations were approved. It was very nice to see such interesting and high level exhibits. We would like to express our gratitude to the AUSTRALIA 2013 Organising Committee, the FlP Consultant and National Commissioners for their efficiency and hard work. We are very pleased that the Australia Post has contributed significantly as the major sponsor. We were pleased to see the exhibits in the Court of Honour for the public to enjoy and the high quality of the Youth Class exhibits. Finally, we wish to thank the Organising Committee for their hospitality, friendship and for providing us with excellent facilities and support which enabled us to accomplish our task on schedule despite the high number of exhibits on display.
