A. Definition of Internet The Internet is a global computer network that connects computers with one computer to another, from one country to other countries around the world. So the computer can share and obtain information. Internet is a source of data and information.that is, we can seek and obtain any data on the internet. Bahwah can dikatakkan as a "library" large and complete. With so widespread information and activities on the Internet, making the Internet as if it were a separate world without borders. In the world with the virtual world called the Internet (cyberspace). Regular information dissemination via a web page created with the format of the programming language HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). To be able to display a web page in need of a software / softwere is called the browser. There are many kinds of browser one of which is Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera, Mozilla Firefox, Safari etc.. Web search engines such example is Google, Bing, Yahoo. We can search for information by typing a keyword in our search on the Web Search Engine. B. History of the Internet Internet was originally formed from the military, under the auspices of the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Project Agency (ARPA). Previously the department decided to conduct research on how to menghubunngkan a computer so membertuk organic tissue. The research apparently resulted in the formation of the first computer network in 1969. At that time the only computer network consists of multiple computers connected by cables and hereinafter referred to as the ARPAnet. ARPAnet itself was built with the goal of making computer networking, so that the information is not focused on one point which is expected to be easily destroyed in the event of war. If one part of the network is disconnected, the path through the network is automatically transferred to other lines. In 1972, Roy Tomiin managed to complete the e-mail program he created for ARPANET. The program is very easy so indirectly popular at that time. ARPANET computer network was developed out of the American in 1973. Computers that are members of the ARPANET is Computer University College of London. The next historic day was on 26 March 1976, when the Queen of the English managed to send an e-mail from Royal signals and Radar Establishment at Malvern. In the next year, has more than 100 computers on the ARPANET join a network (network).Because the computers that make up the network of daily increasing, hence in need formal protocols recognized by all networks. In 1982 in the form of Transmission Control Protocol and Internet Protocol, or TCP or IP. To homogenize dijaringan address existing computer, then in 1984 introduced the domain name system, which we now know as the Domain Name System (DNS). Computers are connected to the existing network has more than 1000 computers. In 1987 the number of computers connected to the network so that a 10-fold to 10,000 more and more and more until we can not count them.
