Summer Camp 2013 Schedule

This summer add some skills to your dance toolbox! Further your training in ballet, contemporary, composition, musical theatre, and hip hop. Classes will be taught by Owner/Director Katie Swenson, along with professional guest artists, Summer Dion and Stephanie Nelson.

SUMMER DION
Summer Dion is a performing artist who has been sent to earth to love and create art! Shes an eclectic being, loving all aspects of artistic freedom, and is blessed to have many different creative abilitiesmusician, dancer, actress, model, and teacher. Summer holds degrees in Dance and Music Education from Colorado State University. She has lived and performed in Los Angeles, bringing with her a handle on west coast styles. Since returning to Denver, Summer has choreographed and directed dance video projects under the trademark name Imaginarium Unzippedcheck them out on YouTubeas well as performed in several theatrical productions in Denver and the surrounding areas. Summer is excited to be here to share her talents and knowledge with the dancers.

STEPHANIE NELSON

Stephanie grew up in a musical family and had parents who were opera singers as well as classical voice teachers. She began performing at the age of 8 and hasnt stopped since. She holds a BFA in Dance Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City as well as a Performance Certificate from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy NYC, where she made her living as a singer/dancer for many years. Her credits include performances with the Metropolitan Opera, Seattle Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Central City Opera, Pittsburgh Public Theater, Arizona Theater Co., Kansas City Rep., Maltz Jupiter Theater, The Cape Playhouse and the Arvada Center. She is a proud member of Actors Equity and the American Guild of Musical Artists. In 2010, she left New York and came to the mountains of Colorado where she began a new chapter of her life. She met her Prince Charming, Paul, and is now blessed to be Mama to her amazing son, Rhys, who is the light of her life. Stephanie has found a great balance of family life and performing, continuing to entertain and teach around the Denver and Foothills area, sharing her passion for the arts.
