ABSTRAKSI PENGARUH PELATIHAN BRAIN GYM TERHADAP KREATIVITAS Budi Kadarsono Kreativitas dapat dipahami sebagai suatu proses berpikir untuk menghasilkan gagasan-gagasan baru, pendekatan-pendekatan baru, atau karya-karya baru yang berguna bagi penyelesaian masalah atau lingkungan. Aspek-aspek pengukuran kreativitas adalah kelancaran berpikir, keluwesan berpikir, keaslian berpikir dan elaborasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan Brain Gym terhadap kreativitas siswa kelas VII di SMPN 4 Bangkalan Tahun Pelajaran 20112012. Dalam penelitian ini penulis menggunakan sampel sebanyak 70 siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen 35 siswa dan kelompok kontrol 35 siswa. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sample random dengan mengundi 8 kelas pada jenjang yang sama untuk menentukan kelas mana yang akan mengalami perlakuan dan kelas mana yang akan berfungsi sebagai kontrol. Desain penelitian ini adalah nonrandomized pretest-Posttest control group design yang masuk dalam katagori penelitian eksperimental-kuasi, karena kedua kelompok tidak dilakukan randomized pada sampel penelitian sehingga dianggap tidak setara dalam hal proactive history. Variabel penelitian dalam penelitian ini yaitu brain gym sebagai variabel X (variabel bebas) dan kreativitas sebagai variabel Y (variabel tergantung). Pengukuran kreativitas dalam penelitian ini diukur dengan menggunakan tes kreativitas verbal (TKV) milik Prof. Suharnan, MS yang terdiri dari pengukuran kelancaran, fleksibilitas, keaslian dalam berpikir berpikir dan kemampuan mengelaborasi suatu gagasan secara rinci. Pelatihan Brain Gym berdasarkan gerakan-gerakan dari Paul Deninson dan diberikan kepada siswa selama 6 minggu. Hipotesis penelitian ini ada pengaruh pelatihan B rain gym terhadap kreativitas. Pengujian hipotesis dengan uji beda rerata antar kelompok atau t-test dengan program SPSS for Windows 16.0 untuk mengukur apakah ada pengaruh pelatihan Brain Gym terhadap kreativitas pada anak. Hasil perhitungan uji t-test melalui uji beda mean post test Kreativitas Verbal antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol diketahui bahwa Brain Gym tidak memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap kreativitas siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Bangkalan Tahun Pelajaran 2011-2012. Artinya tidak ada perbedaan kreativitas yang signifikan antara siswa yang memperoleh pelatihan Brain Gym dengan siswa yang tidak memperoleh pelatihan Brain Gym. Hal ini dinyatakan oleh hasil hitung t = 0,487 ; p = 0,628 (p > 0,05) yang berarti tidak signifikan. Dengan demikian hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa pelatihan Brain Gym dapat mempengaruhi kreativitas siswa SMP Negeri 4 Bangkalan ditolak. Kata kunci : Kreativitas, Brain Gym

ABSTRACK THE EFFECT OF BRAIN GYM TRAINING FOR CREATIVITY Budi Kadarsono Creativity can be understood as a process thought to produce new ideas, new approaches, or new works that are useful for solving the problem or the environment. Measurement aspects of creativity is a fluency thinking, flexibility of thought, originality of thought and elaboration. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of Brain Gym training on creativity of students in grade VII SMP Negeri 4 Bangkalan Year 2011-2012. In this study the authors used a sample of 70 students who were divided into experimental groups of 35 students and a control group of 35 students. Sampling technique used was to raffle a random sample 8 classes at the same level to specify which classes will have class treatment and which ones will function as a control. The study design was nonrandomized pretest-Posttest control group design that included in category of quasi-experimental research. because both groups do not randomized in the research variables in this research is Brain Gym as a variable X (independent variables) and creativity as the Y variable (dependent variable). Measurement of creativity in this study were measured using tests of verbal creativity (TKV) the property of Prof. Suharnan, MS which consists of measuring fluency, flexibility, originality in thinking and the ability to elaborate an idea in detail. Brain Training Gym based on the movements of Paul Deninson and given to students for 6 weeks. The hypothesis this study, there are effect of Brain Gym training towards creativity. Testing the hypothesis with a mean difference test between groups or ttest with SPSS for Windows 16.0 program to gauge whether there is Brain Gym training effects to creativity in children. The results of a test calculations t-test, with different test post test mean Verbal Creativity, between the experimental groups and control groups are known that the Brain Gym did not contribute significantly towards creativity of students in grade VII SMP Negeri 4 Bangkalan Year 2011-2012. It means there is no significant difference between the creativity students who received training in Brain Gym abnd students who do not obtained Brain Gym training. This is revealed by the results calculated t = 0.487, p = 0.628 (p> 0.05), which means not significant. Thus the hypothesis stated that Brain Gym training can affect the creativity of students of SMP Negeri 4 Bangkalan rejected.
