How Humphrey/Kanopy have built this - Kanopy holds rigid recruitment processes, to ensure they recruit individuals with the highest expertise that can only continue to grow Kanopys knowledge base. - Humphrey states for elements she held knowledge gaps (e.g. finance, IT, legal) she hired staff to fill or outsourced -Kanopy hold three month intense training period, and staff admit they come out surprised at how much they learnt -Training and development ensures all staff are well versed on every aspect of the business and can add value to the business as a whole -Staff have bi-weekly meeting, that is strongly emphasised as mandatory and requires staff preparation - (Indirectly) ensures that IT engineers remain incentivised such that new technology is always created/developed, such that Kanopys technological asset base increases -Kanopy places heavy emphasis on continuous improvement such that IT code is redeveloped/improved every month - Kanopy prides itself on this procedure as there are no deductions and suppliers are always pleased as they know what to expect - Interactions with suppliers and sponsorship of events allows Kanopy to gain further insight into where the industry is moving - Supplier interactions allows Kanopy to become more aware of new markets and market information (e.g. MEF -> USA) - Networking opportunities through various competitions as MAP allows Kanopy to gain industry insight, and further business acumen for Humphrey - Transforming cloud servers, databases and networking opportunities to the needs and exposure of the US marketplace
