Greendale Parent Advisory Committee Annual General Meeting May 14, 2013

1. Welcome and Introductions 2. Approval of the Agenda Kristen R., Michelle R. 3. Reports a. School Planning Committee Nothing to Report b. Parent Ecucation Please add a Parent Education line in the next years budget c. Emergency Preparedness - Funds for Emergency Prep - $1049.79. Will be available every year. - Personal Contact Information Forms will be updated by the school for each child. d. School Lunch May 24th kindergartens not involved due to field trip e. Fruit & Veggie Program Going well f. Lice Checks done for the year g. DPAC Needing contact information for the DPAC email address. h. Safer School Committee now have a sign that is put out on the road during school hours to warn people to slow down and drive the school zone speed. i. Treasurer Report given. Please add a line in next years budget for Parent Education. j. Principal i. Dukes supper Pretty good turnout -$240 profit from that night ii. Field Trips many planned for the end of the year iii. May long weekend coming up iv. School wide write next Tuesday What I like best about school v. Neufeld Farms Question if we are doing it next year needs to be put on school calendar vi. Friday Judy Douglas will teach Native language while the teachers mark for the School Wide Write. vii. Spring concert Dates May 27 Unofficial Dress Rehearsal May 28 Dress Rehearsal May 29 - 12:30pm Performance May 30 6:30pm Performance viii. Fun Fair Possibly a few members of the white caps can attend

ix. Lock Down presentation at next staff meeting x. 20% Library time position will be posted for next year - Heidi Tester will not be responsible for Library next year. Increase in her resource teaching time for next year. 4. Business Arising from last meeting a. Neufeld Farms May 22 (pick up 2-3pm) b. Fun Fair Need Volunteers desperately. Currently have 12 volunteers. Volunteers is the biggest hurdle. c. Playground Decision - $ 1,600 away from purchasing the main component to replace the wooden structure. Hopefully get that at the Fun Fair. Decision made to go ahead d. Grants Still being applied for 5. New Business a. AGM Executive Vote. Nominations made and voting happened. Positions confirmed for the 2013/2014 School Year: Chair Michelle Dick Vice Chair Michelle Rodgers Treasurer Amanda Bosma Secretary Shari Dick Parent Education Kristen Radatzke b. c. Pancake Breakfast June 18 - 6 Volunteers needed, 3 griddles needed 100 nights of Reading Assembly Prizes needed to award for 200/250 nights of reading.

d. Schedule for PAC meetings next year Tentively last Thursday of every month, alternating 8:30am and 7pm. Question of location Try Little Beatle Coffee Shop to see if would be interesting to people. e. School DVD Ask Alex if she is willing to do the DVD again this year.
