THE EFFECT OF STUDY HABITS ON THE ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE OF SOPHOMORE EDUCATION STUDENTS IN ABUYOG COMMUNITY COLLEGE

ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the effects of study habits on the academic performance of the sophomore students in Abuyog Community College. Specifically, this manuscript focused on the profile of the college students with regards to their GPA and their study habits. The study utilized the descriptive survey method in the analysis and interpretation of the data gathered from the 40 respondents of Abuyog Community College using the self-developed questionnaire. The outcome of the study was there is significant relationship between how far in advance the students study for the exams and their general average but no significant relationship on the time of day, length of hours spent, way of studying, place/location where to study, preferred study break and condition felt leading up to examination time.
