Description

Normally pump-engine set is not in service. It is kept in isolated condition. It is required to be operated only during emergency condition. However, the pump-engine will be tested at regular intervals at partial/full load. Though the mode of operation is intermittent, it is always kept poised to start in emergency service and operate continuously. As the pump-engine is expected to remain idle for long periods of time, bidder shall indicate over hauling/ maintenance requirements to keep the pump-engine always available in good working condition. Bidder to submit Data sheet B1, B2 & B3 enclosed in Technical specification for horizontal centrifugal pump indicated in the specification. Recommended API 610 makes of pump: KSB, Pune; Kirloskar Ebara make of KBL, Pune; BPCL, Allahabad; Flowserve, Coimbatore. (Only API 610 model is acceptable) Natural frequencies of the total pump-diesel engine assembly and rotating assembly should not be very close to or should not match with its own operating frequency or the natural frequency of the structure on which the pump-set is mounted. Pump vendor shall recommend the fixing arrangement of the pump-engine set in the trolley in order to meet the specified vibration limits.
