2013. The Written Examination (250 marks) consisting of Objective Tests and Descriptive Test. Objective Tests (200 marks): The Objective Tests with 2 hour duration will consists of 4 Sections with 50 marks each as follows: Test of English Language (Grammer, Vocabulary, Comprehension etc) Test of General Awareness, Marketing and Computers Test of Data Analysis and Interpretation Test of Reasoning (High Level)
Descriptive Test (50 marks): The Descriptive Test with 1 hour duration will be of Test of English Language (comprehension, short prcis, letter writing & essay). The candidates are required to qualify in the Descriptive Test by securing passing marks, to be decided by the Bank. Descriptive Test paper of only those candidates will be evaluated who have scored qualifying marks in the Objective Tests.

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will conduct Common Written Examination or CWE for Clerical Cadre in December 2012. The system of Common Written Examination has been approved by each of the 19 participating Public Sector Banks and the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) with the consent of Government of India. The above tests except the Test of English Language will be printed bilingually, ie English and Hindi.
Penalty for Wrong Answers: For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score.

General Knowledge on Computer usage and application. Basic Hardware and Software - Computer Applications MS Word, Excel and Power Point In this section also you can score high marks in less time, if you prepare well. This is very easy section for students who have computers background and it is also easy even if you are non-computers background because there are very basic questions related to computers. I recommend you to read all the previous exams questions. They are enough for clerk exam.
