ROLE AND FUNCTIONS OF LAW PAPER

Role and Functions of Law Paper Without Law in todays society there would be complete chaos in the community, city, state and country. The function that the law plays is to ensure fairness, governing conduct and enforcing ethics to protect people. The United States has laws that protect both society and business in order for both to thrive and succeed in this country. There are many laws that cover the business function but one of the three we will write about in this summary is the Federal Copyright Law. This law protects a business that has created a form of writing, art work, or material from being copied or misused. This is a very important statutory and administrative law in business since they cannot make money if other businesses are copying their work. This would be a form of infringement. (eHow) Another important form of law for business is the local zoning ordinances, which is statutory, that is administrated in a local city or community. Imagine if we didnt have zoning laws where business could have a store front next door to a home located in a nice neighborhood where playgrounds and schools are located. The third form of a law for business is one for taxes that is a federal, state, and sometimes local both statutory and administrative. This law affects the profit in a business but also pays for the services that are needed for the business to operate. Its role and function is to keep the government operating by funding the operational protection and environmental concerns of society and business. Companies depend on the law and its enforcement to protect their company and its assets.

ROLE AND FUNCTIONS OF LAW PAPER

One of the social laws, that are necessary for people to live without chaos, is the criminal laws. When people are not obeying the law they should be moved out of society and punished for their crimes. This is decided by the court systems when charged and brought to trial. (Melvin, 2011) Another form of social law is the civil law and public law that governs the people. Civil Law decides what is right and what is fair when deciding on an important matter between two individuals or an individual and a company. (Melvin, 2011) The public law helps decide what should be done in a community such as the speed laws or school zones. The roles and functions of the laws are important to keep people from hurting each other and innocent victims. The business laws help people be profitable and develop jobs for the community.
